Last week in April 4-25/4-30 was red hot for lakers. The smelt have finished. The bait will be spreading throughout the lake now. With water temperatures in the low forty's the trout will be feeding from the surface on down. They'll also feed heavily on fly hatches at this time.We observed this going on sunday morning. You'll be surprised at how many lakers you take shallow while trolling a streamer for salmon. The key to remmember for early-mid may is that the entire water column is suitable for roaming trout. To give you an idea of how hot fishing has been on the "highliner" this past sat-sun mornings4-25/4-26 we landed a total of 34 trout. You can check the highliner out at http://www.highlinerfishing.com/
